About The Stylish Traveler

Once upon a time, there was a girl who would neither consider herself "low-maintenance" nor "high-maintenance". Being in-between, she enjoyed a full range of travel activities, including staying at posh hotels and eating at fine restaurants, to trekking for five days and sleeping in dirt cheap hostels.

Planning for a trip that would take her from trekking through South America and on to enjoying fine city culture in Europe, the girl was challenged to only bring a carry-on bag. She asked herself, "How is that even possible--fitting three weeks worth of clothes for two very different kinds of activities and two different seasons in such a small bag?" She also asked herself, "How can I still look cute while trekking and walking around the cities when I have so little room to work with?"

She went on a mission to find attractive travel clothing and accessories that wouldn't kill her minimal budget. It was harder than she realized.

Thus The Stylish Traveler was created. She wanted a website that showcased what was out there for travelers seeking style for their adventures in a one-stop fashion.

The Stylish Traveler is for travelers of any kind who are looking for travel gear and clothing that will allow them to look good without looking silly. The Stylish Traveler is also a good resource for general travel knowledge and advice.

Whether you are living out of a backpack for six months, a carry-on suitcase for three weeks, or a four piece set of luggage for the weekend, it is always possible be stylish and look put-together on your journeys.

About the Creator

Lindsay discovered her love for travel after living abroad in Japan for a year and a half as an ESL teacher. One thing she shortly realized was that she was not a fan of being associated with a typical "grunge tourist/backpacker" look a lot of Japanese associated with foreigner travelers. Therefore, she tried her hardest to look her best while traveling at all times. Sometimes this involved creative measures, but for the most part was not difficult and did not take much extra effort.

Now she is always on the lookout for new ways to feed her wanderlust cravings.
